everything just seems to hit so close to home
gazing out at stars
through tiny cutout cardboard pinholes
ritual fills a void inside an irrational soul

down the radiating alleyways of Chernobyl
while above a kettle
of scolding vultures circles

the taste of ice cream cone
unsaved in a church full of cannibals
i remember praying in secret
now the night is long
and drawn out as hell....
